Welcome to the Charlotte Colony

Charlotte Colony

The Charlotte Colony meets twice a year; our last meeting held in May 2024.  Rather than having a speaker, the theme was a Mayflower Mixer.  This allowed members time to interact with their Mayflower cousins.  We had tables with information about the various common Mayflower ancestors we have.  Our next meeting is scheduled for November 23rd.

Numerous members of our Colony assisted with the planning & execution of the GBOA meeting held in Asheville, including our very own Cheryl Vislay who was the overall meeting organizer.  She was recognized at the meeting for her efforts. Colony member Jann Pollard’s artwork graced the cover of the meeting program and notepads.  The original painting was auctioned off with proceeds going to the North Carolina Society.  Jann & Colony member Ann Del Vecchio led the decorating efforts for the meeting. Numerous members lent décor items that made for beautiful centerpieces.
